Board Meeting Minutes.
August 6th, 2015

IN ATTENDANCE

Representing the Board Members of the Brittany Lakes Homeowners Association were the following people:

  • Todd Edwards (President)
  • Greg Ellis (Treasurer) not present
  • Melissa Kirkland (Secretary)
  • Julianna Domokos (Director)
  • James Charo (Director)

Representing Spectrum Association Management, LP was the following person:

  • Bart Jones (Community Manager)

DETERMINATION OF QUORUM

A quorum of Board members was announced by Bart Jones and the meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm.

HOMEOWNER FORUM

There were 7 homeowners on the call.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Meeting minutes from 7/23/2015 were approved unanimously via e-mail after this meeting.

FINANCIAL PACKET

n/a (financials were last reviewed during the July 2015 meeting).

SPLASH PAD UPDATE

  • Houston Recreation – League City Permitting. The contractor, Houston Rec, did not get a building permit from League City prior to construction of the splash pad. Resolution is pending discussion with League City officials.
  • Power Issue – repaired. An electrician ran power to an existing sub-panel. This satisfied the exiting power needs.
  • Card Readers – Now that the readers are powered, a vendor has been contracted to program the readers. This will be done ASAP.

LANDSCAPE BIDS

  • Landscape Bids – Detailed cost bids from LMS, Horticare, Terry’s, Southern Botanical, and ECM were discussed. The Board resolved to invite Horticare, Terry’s, and LMS to the next meeting on 27 August 2015 to discuss their respective bids face-to-face. The Board will make a decision on the contractor selection by early September 2015.

HOLIDAY DECORATION BID

  • Cypress Concepts – current vendor – Board is looking for something fresh and brighter – “more lights, not so much green”.
  • AIS – Always in Season – bid due this week – experienced holiday decoration company
  • Westover Park was mentioned as a potential model for holiday decorations
  • The Board needs to select a contractor for this work by 15 September 2015.
