Board Meeting Minutes.
August 29th, 2013
NOTICE
Pursuant to Article VI, Section 1 of the Bylaws of the Brittany Lakes Homeowners Association, Inc. a meeting of the Directors was duly called and held on August 29, 2013 at the League City Perry Family 
located at 1700 Brittany Bay Boulevard in League City, TX 77573.
IN ATTENDANCE
In attendance representing the Brittany Lakes HOA Board of Directors were Melissa Kirkland, Greg Ellis and Todd Edwards. In attendance representing Spectrum Association Management was Bart Jones.
CALL TO ORDER
With a quorum of the Directors present the meeting was officially called to order at 6:37p.m.
HOMEOWNER FORUM
Two homeowners, Donna Stockton and Carl Sullivan were in attendance. Both mostly observed the meeting. Donna was encouraged to run for the board and Carl brought a list of issues he has been compiling concerning violations.
MINUTE APPROVAL
The board reviewed the July 2013 minutes. A motion was made by Director Edwards, seconded by Director Ellis and unanimously carried, approving the minutes as an official record of the Assocation.
FINANCIAL REPORT
The Board of Directors was provided the financial report as of July 31st, 2013. A brief overview of all financial reports was provided.

Communication
Director Ellis brought up needing articles for a newsletter for the community and for a September newsletter distribution. John Dunn will be producing the newsletter.
OLD BUSINESS
Mosquito Spraying
Mosquito Spraying started in August.
Dog Stations
The replacement cans have been delivered and will be installed in the next 2 weeks.
Tennis Courts
CL Sports – Install Complete
Bid – Pump Replacement – Lake Pro
The board expressed an interest in creating a waterfall type fountain area and continuing with the creek under the bridge.
Loon Parking Lot
Tuttle Construction repaired the area with concrete and pavers.
NEW BUSINESS
- Bid – ECM Irrigation repairs – approved
- Bid – Trim Trees at park/rec center – 3 bids presented – Bio awarded bid
- Bid – Cypres Concepts – tabled for more information
- Bid – Playground Repair – two bids presented – McKenna awarded bid
- Water Park/Basketball Court – not discussed at length
- – prepping bid for pool contract
- 2014 Budget – minor discussion – need to correct some line item expenses
